NBB Round 22 (Regular Season): Leader Pinheiros get another victory

The round 22 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Leader Pinheiros delivered the seventeenth win on Monday night. This time they crushed 15th ranked Pato (5-14) 94-67 in Pato Branco. Pinheiros dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Pato's 26 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Pinheiros forced 19 Pato turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. fired 16 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Center Agapy Samoel (205-2003) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Tradavis Thompson (188-2000, college: Lyn, agency: Starting 5) produced 20 points and 4 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pinheiros (17-2) have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position, which they share with Flamengo. Pato at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with 14 games lost.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Rio de Janeiro. Local Flamengo (17-2) outscored 19th ranked Botafogo (3-16) 104-71. Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). There was no surprise in Sao Paulo where 17th ranked Rio Claro (4-15) was defeated by fourth ranked Vivo/Franca (16-3) 82-74. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Georginho de Paula (197-1996) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds. American guard David Jackson (192-1982, college: Penn State) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners.
