The Regular Season in LBF just started. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Sao Jose on the court of Santo Andre on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Santo Andre 65-58. Forward Marcella Prande (180-2005) fired 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international guard Maria Albiero (173-1998, college: BYU) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Santo Andre's coach Adriana Amado used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Juliana Souza (185-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Another exciting game was between Mesquita and Maringa where Mesquita beat Maringa on the road 67-58. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Connie Clarke (178-2001, college: MWSU, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. Jayla Crawford contributed with 20 points for the winners. Mesquita's coach Raphael Zaremba allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Thayna Sylvestre (181-2004) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds for Maringa. Mesquita will play against Campinas at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Maringa will play against SESI and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
