Czechia claimed the second win at the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Group A. They rallied past Brazil to improve at 2-1 record in Wuhan. Veronika Vorackova (180-G-1999) posted 17 points, while Petra Holesinska (178-G-1997, college: UNC) chipped in 16 points for the European side. Czechia grabbed a 24-20 lead after ten minutes. But Brazil responded with a 26-18 rally in the second frame to gain a 4-point halftime lead. But it was all about Czechia after the big break. They went on a strong 42-19 rally in the second half to ice the victory. Damiris Dantas (191-F-1992) stepped up with 30 points and 12 rebounds for Brazil. |
