NBB top team - Pinheiros (27-6) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat nineteenth ranked Vasco (5-28) in Rio de Janeiro 81-63. Pinheiros outrebounded Vasco 43-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. American point guard David Sloan (183-1999, college: ETSU) stepped up and scored 13 points for the winners and center Matheus Marques (206-2001) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Pinheiros' coach Gustavo Conti used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Sergio Conceicao (209-2000) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds. The game in Brasilia was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Corinthians (22-9) played at the court of sixth ranked Brasilia (23-9). Brasilia defeated Corinthians 89-74.
