Regular Season Round 41: Osasco - Minas 66-78

There was no surprise when 19th ranked Osasco (5-29) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Minas (24-7) 78-66 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was forward Alexandre Paranhos (204-1992) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Argentinian guard Juan Arengo (185-1996) chipped in 13 points. Minas' coach Leonardo Costa used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Eddy Carvalho (196-1987) produced 22 points and 6 rebounds and Argentinian point guard Bruno Caribaux (181-2003, agency: BIG) added 5 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Minas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 24-7 record. Loser Osasco dropped to the bottom. Minas will meet league's leader Pinheiros in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Osasco will have a break next round.
