Jayla Crawford claims Brazilian LBF Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Jayla Crawford (170-G-2000, agency: Interperformances) had a great game in the last round for Sodie Mesquita and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 25-year old guard had a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat Recife (#8, 1-3) 74-64. Mesquita maintains the 6th position in Brazilian LBF. Mesquita is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. Crawford just recently signed at Mesquita, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Alabama State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Clarke impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Sodie Mesquita cruised to a 74-64 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Recife (#8, 1-3). Mesquita's 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-3 record. Clarke is one of the most experienced players at Mesquita and similarly like Jayla Crawford has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.8ppg (#7). She also registered 9.8 boards per game. Missouri Western State University alumni Clarke played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was international guard Izabela Nicoletti (178-G-1999) of top-ranked Unimed Campinas Basquete. Nicoletti scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was a key player of Campinas, leading her team to a 85-56 easy win against Maringa (#10, 0-4). Campinas started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Nicoletti turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Nicoletti has a very solid season. In 3 games in Brazil she scored 12.0ppg.
