The most important game of round 6 took place in Sampaio Basquete between two undefeated teams where Sampaio beat Campinas (5-1) 68-57 on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Campinas. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Campinas 50-34 including 36 on the defensive glass. The former international Izabella Sangalli (182-1995) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Lays Da Silva (166-1998, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Leticia Rodrigues (187-1995) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Undefeated Sampaio (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Campinas at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with SESI. They were replaced at the leadership position by Sampaio. Campinas will play next round against Santo Andre trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Sampaio will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked SESI in Araraquara.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 6: Santo Andre was destroyed by Cerrado on the opponent's court 85-59. Sao Jose managed to outperform Recife in a home game 71-59. Mesquita recorded a loss to SESI on the road 89-72. Santo Andre crushed Recife on its own court 82-51.
