Bottom-ranked Vasco managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the series of three consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time they won against sixteenth-ranked Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro 104-86. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Botafogo's players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Alexsander Vernizz (184-2000) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 12 assists and 6 steals. American swingman Lamar Morgan (198-1997, college: Coppin St., agency: Helping Ballers) contributed with 19 points for the winners. point guard Matheusinho Brito (183-2000) answered with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for Botafogo. Important game to mention about took place in Mogi das Cruzes. Nineteenth ranked Osasco (7-31) saved a 3-point derby victory on the road edging higher ranked Mogi (21-17) 76-73 on Friday evening. At the losing side power forward Maicon Waldemar (204-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Mogi's coach Fernando Penna rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Osasco moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Cearense and Pato.
