There was no surprise when 17th rankedPato (7-31) was outleveled by seventh ranked Paulistano (23-14) in Sao Paulo 92-71 on Saturday. Paulistano looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Venezuelan point guard Edson Tovar (180-2004) nailed a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and point guard Estevao Seixas (182-2008) accounted for 24 points and 4 assists. Four Paulistano players scored in double figures. Guard Caua Queiroz (183-2003) came up with 19 points and 5 assists and forward Nathan Gomes (201-2003) added 8 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Pato in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Paulistano maintains seventh place with 23-14 record. Pato lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 31 games lost. They share it with Osasco and Cearense.
