The best player for the winners was international point guard Elio Corazza (195-1989, college: Miami Dade CC) who scored 18 points and 8 assists. American guard Davaunta Thomas (196-1995, college: UAFS) chipped in 21 points. Thomas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Corinthians players scored in double figures. Minas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Cruzeiro's 26. Minas forced 21 Cruzeiro turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Erik McCree (202-1993, college: La Tech) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Argentinian guard Juan Arengo (185-1996) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists.
