The most exciting game of round 10 in the LBF took place in Sao Jose. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of their close opponent Santo Andre (5-6) to fifth ranked Sao Jose (5-6) 68-65 in the game for the fifth place. Sao Jose made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Center Juliana Souza (185-1999) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Uruguayan guard Maite Pereira (176-2004) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. Forward Marcella Prande (180-2005) produced 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of her seven free throws) for lost side. Sao Jose maintains fifth position with 5-6 record, which they share with defeated Santo Andre. Santo Andre lost fourth consecutive game. Sao Jose will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Santo Andre will play at home against Mesquita (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Connie Clarke contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Center Juliana Souza (185-1999) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds for Sao Jose. Sao Jose's coach Leandro Leal rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mesquita maintains seventh position with 4-8 record. Sao Jose at the other side keeps the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Santo Andre. Aline Moura had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side Leticia Rodrigues responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Campinas' coach Babi Honorio tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. SESI have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Sampaio. Loser Campinas keeps the second place with two games lost. SESI will meet at home bottom-ranked Salvador (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Campinas will have a break next round.

Mesquita was crushed by Cerrado in Brasilia 122-64. Bottom-ranked Salvador lost to undefeated Sampaio at home 43-115. Campinas won against Maringa on the opponent's court 74-58.
