Gimnastico beat Univ Concepcion to finish second in Liga Femenina championship. Gimnastico players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American center Rachel Hollivay (196-93, college: Rutgers) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Tayler Mingo (170-92, college: Wright St.) accounted for 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Gimnastico players scored in double figures. Venezuelan swingman Genesis Rivera (180-96, college: Massachusetts) came up with 22 points and 7 rebounds and American center Karley Barnes (190-94, college: Minnesota) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Univ.Concepcion in the defeat. Los Leones knocked down Alemana Paillaco to celebrate 2019 LNF title. Los Leones outrebounded Alemana Paillaco 47-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Monique Reid (185-90, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 7 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Her fellow American import guard Brittanny Dinkins (170-94, college: S.Mississippi) helped adding 36 points (!!!) and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was Colombian center Narlyn Mosquera (197-89) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Tatiana Gomez (192-81) scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
