Ja'Heim Hudson claims Chilean LNB weekly honour

American Ja'Heim Hudson (201-F-2001) had a great game in the last round for league's leader CD Espanol Osorno and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 25-year old forward had a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Puerto Montt (#7, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 85-70. It allowed Espanol to jump to the first place in the Chilean LNB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Espanol already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Hudson had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Espanol, through which he has constantly improved. Auburn University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hudson is in league's top in points (7th best: 20.0ppg), rebounds (7th best: 10.0rpg) and averages solid 2.3bpg,2.3spg and 65.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Puerto Rican guard GianFranco Grafals (193-G) of Club Deportes Castro. Grafals impressed basketball fans with 34 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Castro cruised to a 87-76 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Las Animas (#5, 1-2). Castro's 6th position in Sur has not changed. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Castro managed to get this year. Grafals is one of the most experienced players at Castro and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.5ppg (#5). He also registered 9.3 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Stephen Maxwell (201-F-1993) of second-ranked CD Universidad de Concepcion. Maxwell got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . He was a key player of Univ.Concepcion, leading his team to a 104-83 easy win against #3 ranked Univ.Catolica in a game of the week. Univ.Concepcion has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Maxwell also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Maxwell has a great season in Chile. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.5ppg (2nd best).
