Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 12 in the LNB took place in Santiago. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th ranked Univ.Catolica (4-6) to second ranked Los Leones (8-1) 79-76 on Monday evening. It was a good game for American forward Jaylen Key (203-1997, college: New Orleans) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 6 rebounds. ex-international guard Danko Garcia (182-2002) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Tristan Harper (198-2000, college: Langston) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds for Univ.Catolica. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains second position with 8-1 record having just one point less than leader Valdivia. Univ.Catolica lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with Puerto Montt.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Valdivia: Valdivia (#1) and Las Animas (#5). Las Animas were smashed at home by 32 points 58-90 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Las Animas. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jalen Canty (203-1995, college: UCSB, agency: Haylett Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and Carlos Lauler who added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Tevin Glass (203-1994, college: ETSU) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Valdivia (8-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row, which they share with Univ.Concepcion. Las Animas at the other side dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Espanol (5-4) against fourth ranked Puerto Varas (5-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Espanol was defeated by Puerto Varas in Puerto Varas 95-79. The winners were led by Patricio Arroyo who scored that evening 28 points and 8 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Even 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by Jahsean Corbett did not help to save the game for Espanol. Espanol O.'s coach Rodrigo Munoz rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Puerto Varas moved-up to third place which they share with defeated Espanol. Espanol lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Puente Alto.

In the last two games of round 12 Espanol was smashed by Los Leones on the road 96-69. Puerto Montt destroyed Castro on its own court 92-72.

The winners were led by Eduardo Lugo (-2001) who scored that evening 20 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Kingsley Perkins (203, college: LSSU) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five Los Leones players scored in double figures. Los Leones' coach Guillermo Frutos felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 34 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds by forward Aseem Luckey (206-2001, college: Williams Baptist) did not help to save the game for Espanol. American guard Taevon Lewis (198-2003) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Defending champion maintains second position with 8-1 record having just one point less than leader Valdivia.
