Chilean LNF round 13 best performance: Jacqueline Soto

Argentinian Jacqueline Soto) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Osorno, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The player had a double-double of 18 points and 24 rebounds, while her team crushed Pankull (#6, 1-6) with 18-point margin 69-51. Osorno maintains the 4th position in their group in Chilean LNF. Osorno is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Soto had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Osorno, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Jacqueline Soto averages just after three games 20.7ppg and 20.3rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Marisol Gamboa (178-F-1985) of Puente Alto. Gamboa had a very good evening with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course she led Puente Alto to another comfortable win 77-63 over slightly lower-ranked Univ.de Chile (#4, 5-7) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Zona B. Puente Alto consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. Her team's 9-3 record is not bad at all. Gamboa is one of the most experienced players at Puente Alto and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Jessica Martino (175-F-2000) of Temuco (#4). Martino scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Despite Martino's great performance Temuco lost 66-78 to #3 ranked Infinito. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Temuco needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in Zona C. Their record is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Martino has a great season in Chile. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.9ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 12.3rpg (3rd best).
