Javiera Campos claims Chilean LNF weekly honour

Talented Javiera Campos (PG-2002) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader CDSC Universidad De Chile and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 21-year old playmaker had the game-high 27 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for CDSC in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Puente Alto (#5, 1-2) with 35-point margin 66-31. It allowed CDSC to jump to the first place in the Chilean LNF. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and CDSC won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Campos had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 9 attempts. She just recently signed at CDSC and just after two games she already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Campos has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 19.0ppg) and averages solid 4.5spg and 52.9% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Spanish Laia Soler (185-2001) of Colegio Los Leones Quilpe. Soler impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 15 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as Leones was edged by Sportiva Ita. (1-1) 84-81. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Soler is one of the most experienced players at Leones and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was international center Tatiana Gomez (192-C-1981) of top-ranked CD Esc. Alemana Paillaco. Gomez showcased her all-around game by recording 24 points, 15 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Alemana, leading her team to a 84-72 win against UCSC (#6, 0-3). Alemana started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game in Zona South. Gomez turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Gomez has a great season in Chile. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.0ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 13.7rpg (2nd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
