Jones' double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old U.S. Virgin Islands guard Taylor Jones (173-G-1997) had a very impressive game in the last round for Colegio Los Leones Quilpe and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
She had a double-double of 33 points and 10 rebounds, while her team crushed Sergio Ceppi (#4, 4-6) with 18-point margin 81-63. Leones maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Chilean LNF. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Leones will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. In the team's last game Jones had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Leones, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Oakland University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jones is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.8ppg. Jones is in league's top in and averages solid 2.6spg and 58.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Barbara Hauschild (1989) of C.D. Espanol. She is a in her first (recently joined) season at Espanol. In the last game Hauschild recorded an impressive double-double of 12 points and 19 rebounds. Of course she led Espanol to another comfortable win 60-47 over slightly lower-ranked UCSC (#5, 2-6) being unquestionably team leader. Espanol's 3rd position in Zona South has not changed. Her team's 6-4 record is not bad at all. Hauschild is one of the most experienced players at Espanol and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Espanol's star - Anahi Albornoz (1998). Albornoz showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. She was another key player of C.D. Espanol, helping her team with a 60-47 easy win against slightly lower-ranked UCSC (#5, 2-6). Espanol needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Zona South. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Albornoz has a very solid season. In 10 games in Chile she scored 10.4ppg. She also has 7.5rpg, 3.7apg and 2.9spg.
