The best player for the winners was the former international guard Fernanda Ovalle (178-2003, college: Xavier) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Kwanza Murray (170-1996, college: Lincoln, PA) chipped in 26 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Ashiala Jackson (186-1998, college: Tuskegee) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
An exciting game was played in Vina del Mar. Los Leones faced Gimnastico. Guests from San Pablo (2-0) smashed host Gimnastico (0-3) 78-37. It was a good game for Venezuelan Daniela Morillo-Wallen (179-1995, college: Okla City) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Krystan Vornes contributed with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Los Leones' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Venezuelan power forward Gisell Ramirez (183-2004) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for Gimnastico.
