Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Frontera (2-1) in Temuco on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Alemana (4-0) 85-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Frontera. Alemana looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kwanza Murray (170-1996, college: Lincoln, PA) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. The other American import forward Kennedy Gavin (185-1999, college: Jax State) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international Josefina Viafora (185-1999) replied with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for Frontera. Alemana have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Frontera at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Univ.Concepcion.
An interesting game for Alemana (4-0) which hosted in Paillaco 4th ranked Puerto Montt (0-2). Top-ranked Alemana had an easy win 112-53. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kwanza Murray (170-1996, college: Lincoln, PA) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and Daniela Dublo who added 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Josefa Osorio (-2005) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alemana have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Puerto Montt at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost.
An interesting game for Los Leones (3-0) which hosted in San Pablo 3rd ranked Puente Alto (1-2). Top-ranked Los Leones had an easy win 93-54. The winners were led by Martina Orellana who scored that evening 28 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Even 17 points by Romina Valenzuela did not help to save the game for Puente Alto. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Los Leones have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 3-0 record. Loser Puente Alto keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Sergio Ceppi.

In the last game of round 4 winless Gimnastico was smashed by Sergio Ceppi on the road 78-54.

Sergio Ceppi - Gimnastico 78-54

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Sergio Ceppi's (1-2) home victory over bottom-ranked Gimnastico (0-4) in Santiago 78-54 on Saturday. Sergio Ceppi held Gimnastico to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Sergio Ceppi forced 22 Gimnastico turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Gimnastico's players. The winners were led by Cuban center Betsy Guilarte (186-2003) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals and the former international forward Francisca Salvatierra (173-1994) supported her with 9 points and 8 rebounds. Sergio Ceppi's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 11 points and 9 rebounds by Venezuelan forward Maria Quero (160-1999) did not help to save the game for Gimnastico. Claudia Inostroza added 7 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Sergio Ceppi left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with Puente Alto. It was Gimnastico's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost.
