Guilarte's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

21-year old Cuban center Betsy Guilarte (186-C-2003) had a great game in the last round for Club Sergio Ceppi Santiago and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
She had a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Gimnastico (#5, 0-4) with 24-point margin 78-54. Sergio Ceppi maintains the 4th position in their group in the Chilean LNF. Sergio Ceppi is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-2 record. In the team's last game Guilarte had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. She turned to be Sergio Ceppi's top player in her first season with the team. Guilarte has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.0rpg), assists (7th best: 3.7apg) and averages solid 1.3bpg,3.0spg and 57.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Martina Orellana (170-PG-2004) of top-ranked Colegio Los Leones Quilpe. She is a guard in her 2nd season at Los Leones. In the last game Orellana recorded an impressive 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she led Los Leones to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Puente Alto (#3, 1-2) 93-54. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Zona Centro. Los Leones consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Orellana is well-known at Los Leones and she already established her position as one of the team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.5ppg (#3).

Third place about best performers goes to forward Daniela Dublo (184-PF-1988) of league's leader CD Esc. Alemana Paillaco. Dublo showcased her all-around game by recording 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Alemana, leading her team to a 112-53 easy win against #4 ranked Puerto Montt. Alemana started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game in Zona Sur. Dublo turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Dublo has a great season in Chile. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.5apg (5th best).
