Kwanza Murray claims Chilean LNF Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Kwanza Murray (170-G-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader CD Esc. Alemana Paillaco and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 28-year old guard had the game-high 39 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Alemana P. in her team's victory, helping them to beat Frontera (#3, 4-4) 99-93. It allowed Alemana to consolidate first place in the Chilean LNF. Alemana have a solid 7-1 record. In the team's last game Murray had a remarkable 59.1% from 2-point range. She turned to be Alemana's top player in her first season with the team. Lincoln University of Pennsylvania graduate has very impressive stats this year. Murray is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.4ppg. Murray is in league's top in and averages solid 58.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Cuban center Betsy Guilarte (186-C-2003) of Club Sergio Ceppi Santiago. Guilarte impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 23 rebounds. Bad luck as Sergio Ceppi was edged by slightly lower-ranked Gimnastico (#5, 1-6) 57-56. Despite lost game Sergio Ceppi moved up to 3rd position in Zona Centro. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Sergio Ceppi managed to get this year. Guilarte is a newcomer at Sergio Ceppi and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.6ppg (#7). She also registered 13.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Venezuelan Daniela Morillo-Wallen (179-SF-1995) of top-ranked Colegio Los Leones Quilpe. Morillo-Wallen showcased her all-around game by recording 15 points, 18 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Los Leones, leading her team to a 82-67 easy win against #2 ranked Sportiva Ita. in a game of the week. Los Leones confirms their top position in Zona Centro. Morillo-Wallen has a very solid season. In 8 games in Chile she scored 17.3ppg. She also has 12.8rpg, 4.4apg, 4.3spg, a FGP of 63.9% and 3PT: 43.3%.
