Experienced American Alexus Johnson (197-C-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Colegio Los Leones Quilpe and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 31-year old center had a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds, while her team beat Puente Alto (#3, 2-1) 80-68. It allowed Los Leones to consolidate first place in the Chilean LNF. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Los Leones already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Los Leones' top player in her first season with the team. Texas Southern University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.8ppg) and averages solid 3.8spg,60.0% FGP and 40.9% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Sonya Morris (178-G-1997) of CD Gimnastico Vina del Mar. Morris impressed basketball fans with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course she led Gimnastico to another comfortable win outscoring Sergio Ceppi (1-3) 94-60. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Morris is a newcomer at Gimnastico and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.7ppg (#2). She also registered 7.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Colombian Manuela Rios (163-G-1997) of Municipal Puente Alto (#3). Rios showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Puente Alto, leading her team to a 109-41 easy win against Brisas (#6, 0-4). Puente Alto needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Zona Centro. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost games. Rios has a great season in Chile. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.5ppg (best scorer) and assists with 7.5apg (best passer).
