The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Los Leones (5-1) in San Pablo on Thursday night. Hosts were rolled over by Sportiva Ita. (5-0) 85-62. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Los Leones. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Sportiva Ita. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. International forward Jovanka Ljubetic (176-2000, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points. contributed with 6 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. answered with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for Los Leones. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Sportiva Ita. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Los Leones at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Puerto Montt: Puerto Montt (#4) and Univ. Austral (#2). Puerto Montt (1-2) won against visiting Univ. Austral (1-2) 66-56. American forward Destiny Samuel (188, college: USA) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and Catalina Tano chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. International forward Jovanka Ljubetic (176-2000, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Puerto Montt left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with defeated Univ. Austral.
An interesting game for Univ.Concepcion (4-0) which played road game in Paillaco against 3rd placed Alemana (0-2). Leader Univ.Concepcion had an easy win 87-48. Leah Scott nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Univ.Concepcion's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kiera Shields came up with 12 points and 7 rebounds for Alemana in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Univ.Concepcion. They maintain first place with 4-0 record. Loser Alemana P. still closes the standings with two games lost.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 5: Gimnastico was smashed by Puente Alto on the road 103-81. Los Leones destroyed Brisas on its own court 92-30. Sportiva Ita. outscored Sergio Ceppi in Valparaiso 76-55.

Alemana P. - Univ.Concepcion 48-87

An interesting game for Univ.Concepcion (4-0) which played road game in Paillaco against 3rd placed Alemana (0-2). Leader Univ.Concepcion had an easy win 87-48. Univ.Concepcion dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Alemana P.'s 22. The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Puente Alto's (4-1) home victory over 4th placed Gimnastico (2-4) in Santiago 103-81 on Saturday. Colombian guard Manuela Rios (163-1997) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and accounted for 16 points and 11 rebounds. Five Puente Alto players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest.
