Chilean LNF round 2 best performance: Chyna Cornwell (by Hoops Agents)

American Chyna Cornwell (188-C -2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Sportiva Italiana Valparaiso, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 11 points and 19 rebounds, while her team beat Azul y Rojo (#4, 1-1) 78-67. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Sportiva Ita. is placed at 2nd position in Chilean LNF. The season is still on an early stage, but Sportiva Ita. already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Cornwell just recently signed at Sportiva Ita., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Rutgers University star has very solid stats this year. Cornwell is in league's top in points (9th best: 14.3ppg) and averages impressive 59.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Canadian Roxane Makolo (178-G-2000) of CD Gimnastico Vina del Mar. Makolo had a very good evening with a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Gimnastico lost that game 61-82 to Univ.Concepcion (2-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Makolo is one of the most experienced players at Gimnastico and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.7ppg (#3). She also registered 11.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Randi Brown (173-G-1996) of league's top team Colegio Los Leones Quilpe. Brown scored 21 points. She was a key player of Los Leones, leading her team to a 76-47 easy win against Quilicura (#7, 0-3). Los Leones started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Brown turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Brown has a great season in Chile. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (2nd best).
