The most exciting game of round 5 in the LNF took place in Las Condes. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Sergio Ceppi (1-7) to sixth ranked Azul y Rojo (3-5) 77-75 on Sunday evening. Azul y Rojo made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Sergio Ceppi turnovers. Valentina Castaneda (-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners and the former international center Tatiana Gomez (192-1981) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds. Cuban center Betsy Guilarte (186-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sergio Ceppi's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Azul y Rojo moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Puente Alto. Sergio Ceppi at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost.

Univ.Concepcion have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 7-1 record having just one point less than leader Los Leones.
