Corsarios - Bucaros 66-71 The game between Top Four teams took place in Cartagena. One of their biggest challengers host Corsarios (4-10) lost to third ranked Bucaros (5-11) 71-66. Strangely Corsarios outrebounded Bucaros 44-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was naturalized Venezuelan Jackson Zapata (198-1985) who scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Kenny Brown (188-1991, college: Ferris St., agency: SLN) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Four Bucaros players scored in double figures. American guard Logan Santiago (185, college: AIC) produced 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Troy Jones (201, college: TAMUK) added 9 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Bucaros maintains third position with 5-11 record having seven points less than leader Piratas. Corsarios lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with ten games lost. Visiting Bucaros were defeated by Corsarios in Cartagena 80-69. Center Jhon Hernandez (208-1984) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Troy Jones (201, college: TAMUK) supported him with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Even 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks by American Jeremy Hollowell (203-1994, college: Georgia St.) did not help to save the game for Bucaros. Venezuelan swingman Kevin Nino (195-1991) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Bucaros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Corsarios maintains fourth position with 4-10 record. Bucaros at the other side keep the third place with 11 games lost.
