Top ranked Motilones (13-4) recorded its fourth loss in San Andres Island on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Storm (12-8) 78-73. 27 personal fouls committed by Motilones helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Kyree Elder (196-1998, college: Shawnee St.) who scored 25 points. The former international center Cristian Arboleda (205-1992) chipped in 7 points and 15 rebounds. Dominican point guard Jaison Valdez (188-1995) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. Carrib.Storm moved-up to third place. Toros Del Valle shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for the former international Soren De Luque (200-1998) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Panamanian Josimar Ayarza (205-1987, college: Southern Miss) helped adding 23 points. Five Toros players scored in double figures. American guard Mascio McCadney (190-1998, college: MSU-Northern) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and Miguel Caicedo (186-2001) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds.
