First defeat of league's leader Storm against Motilones 78-69 was the most important game of the last round. Motilones dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Storm's 24. Motilones forced 21 Carrib.Storm turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Motilones made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican Bernardo Polanco (189-1994) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. American forward Camron Donatlan (190-1999, college: UWG) contributed with 7 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American guard Matthew Butler (188-1995, college: UT Martin) answered with 28 points and 5 rebounds for Carrib.Storm. At the losing side American center Sal Nuhu (203-1995, college: Portland St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Motilones' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Toros in Cali on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Cimarrones 95-91. Delano Spencer nailed 30 points and 9 assists for the winning side. Cristian Solis came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for Toros Del Valle in the defeat. Toros' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
Other games in round 1 were not that significant. Cimarrones were beaten by Toros Del Valle on the road 80-71. Paisas destroyed Sabios on its own court 82-51. Sabios managed to outperform Paisas in Manizales 80-72.
The most impressive performance of 1st round was 29 points and 7 assists by Walyn Napper of Sabios.
