Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Paisas (6-2) in Quibdo-Choco on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Cimarrones (2-6) 91-90. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Paisas. Strangely Paisas outrebounded Cimarrones 47-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. American guard Delano Spencer (193-1994, college: Tennessee St.) stepped up and scored 28 points and 4 steals for the winners and his fellow American import forward Corey Sanders (188-1997, college: Rutgers) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American swingman Vince Cole (198-1998, college: Coastal) responded with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Paisas' coach Daniel Seoane rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cimarrones maintains fourth place with 2-6 record. Paisas at the other side still keep top position with two games lost. Cimarrones are looking forward to face league's second-placed Sabios in Manizales in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Paisas will have a break next round.

Carrib.Storm will again play against Piratas (#4) in Bogota in the next round. Piratas will have a break next round.

Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Caimanes have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Caimanes maintains first place with 4-0 record. Defending champion Motilones keep the third position with four games lost. Caimanes will again meet Motilones (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Motilones will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 5 Paisas won against Cimarrones on the opponent's court 93-76. Toros Del Valle outscored Sabios in a home game 88-62.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 15 points and 6 rebounds by Kobby Ayetey of Sabios.

The game between Top Four teams took place in San Andres Island. Third ranked host Storm (3-3) defeated 4th placed Piratas (1-3) 72-68. Rather expected game in Quibdo-Choco where 4th placed Cimarrones (2-6) were defeated by first ranked Paisas (6-2) 93-76 on Tuesday. Paisas dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Cimarrones' 30. They outrebounded Cimarrones 46-28 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Yustin Llerena (195-2002) who scored 29 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). American swingman Vince Cole (198-1998, college: Coastal) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Paisas' coach Daniel Seoane used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Devon Baulkman (195-1991, college: Tennessee) produced 22 points and the former international point guard Andres Salazar (180-1997) added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Cimarrones players scored in double figures. Paisas have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-2 record. Cimarrones lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with six games lost. Paisas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cimarrones will play against the league's second-placed Sabios (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Cali where third ranked Toros (3-4) smashed second-ranked Sabios (4-3) 88-62 on Thursday. Toros Del Valle outrebounded Sabios 44-23 including a 37-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Toros Del Valle shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Sabios' players. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toros Del Valle maintains third place with 3-4 record having four points less than leader Caimanes. Loser Sabios keep the second position with three games lost. Toros Del Valle will again meet at home league's second-placed Sabios in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sabios will play against Cimarrones in Quibdo-Choco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
