Regular Season Round 5: Cimarrones - Paisas 91-90

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-rankedPaisas (6-2) in Quibdo-Choco on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Cimarrones (2-6) 91-90 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Paisas. Strangely Paisas outrebounded Cimarrones 47-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. American guard Delano Spencer (193-1994, college: Tennessee St.) stepped up and scored 28 points and 4 steals for the winners and his fellow American import forward Corey Sanders (188-1997, college: Rutgers) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American swingman Vince Cole (198-1998, college: Coastal) responded with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international power forward Santiago Serna (203-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. Four Cimarrones and five Paisas players scored in double figures. Paisas' coach Daniel Seoane rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cimarrones maintains fourth place with 2-6 record. Paisas at the other side still keep top position with two games lost.
