American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Luis Bethelmy chipped in 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Caimanes' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Dominican Rey Abad (210-2002, agency: Sport Avenir) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game in Manizales was also quite interesting. Toros played at the court of Sabios. Toros defeated Sabios 84-70 on Tuesday. Terry Armstrong notched a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort. Toros' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 27 points and 4 steals by Carlos Fulda did not help to save the game for Sabios. Toros will meet at home Cimarrones in the next round where they are favorite. Sabios will play against Carrib.Storm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
In the last two games of round 2 winless Motilones were beaten by Caimanes on the road 78-65. Carrib.Storm won against Cimarrones on its own court 105-95.
