Caimanes - Sabios 99-91

Caimanes dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Sabios' 38. Caimanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) scored 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Myles Carter (206-1997, college: Seattle) chipped in 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Caimanes' coach Jaime Ortiz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Venezuelan forward Miguel Fernandez (194-1992) responded with 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Dominican swingman Braynt De La Cruz (198-2002) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. Four Sabios players scored in double figures.

Piratas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Panamanian forward Aaron Gedeon (203-1999, college: Southwest) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Santiago Serna (203-2001) chipped in 12 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Piratas' coach Jose Tapias used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard TyLik Evans (173-1996, college: USC Aiken) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Nigerian-American center Duby Okeke (203-1994, college: Nebraska, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds.
