LSB Round 9: Limon Sh. is defeated by ARBA

The game between third ranked Limon Sh. (5-2) and fourth ranked ARBA (4-4) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Limon Sh. was crushed by ARBA in San Jose 90-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Limon Sh.. ARBA maintains fourth place with 4-4 record. Limon Sh. at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. ARBA are looking forward to face Roswell (#6) in the next round. Limon Sh. will play against Abogados and is hoping to win this game.
LSB top team - Escazu (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Abogados (1-7) 109-89. Undefeated Escazu have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-0 record. Abogados lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Escazu will play against Grecia (#5) on the road in the next round. Abogados will play against Limon Sh. to get more than just one victory in their record.

In the last two games of round 9 Roswell won against Metropoli on the opponent's court 73-69. PFC managed to outperform Grecia in a home game 79-69.

ARBA - Limon Sh. 90-66

Metropoli - Roswell 69-73

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Metropoli (2-6) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Roswell (3-6) 73-69. Roswell moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Grecia. Newly promoted Metropoli dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Roswell will play against higher ranked ARBA (#4) in San Jose in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Metropoli will play against the league's second-placed PFC and hopes to get back on the winning track.

PFC - Grecia 79-69

Rather predictable result when second ranked PFC (7-2) defeated at home 5th ranked Grecia (3-6) 79-69. Newly promoted PFC maintains second place with 7-2 record behind leader Escazu. Grecia at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Roswell. PFC will play against Metropoli (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Grecia will play against the league's leader Escazu and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Abogados - Escazu 89-109
