Capitalinos win LSB 2010 - Apr 18, 2010 

Capitalonos Azules de La Habana defeated on the road, 72-63 Ciego De Avila yesterday night in Game 5 of the Final Series, becoming the 2010 Liga Superior de Baloncesto Champions. Led on the bench by experienced coach Miguel Calderon, Capitalinos started very well the game (12-4 after 5 minutes) and kept the advantage till teh end of first quarter (23-15). A furious comeback from Ciego de Avila caused a tie in the score at 34 during the second partial, but Capitalinos ended ahead the first half 41-38. Another comeback from the home team allowed Ciego de Avila to take the lead at the end of third quarter (54-52), but a 20-9 rally from Capitalinos in the beginning of the last partial closed the game. Another time more, veteran Alexis Lavastida (187-G-77) led the light blues with 20 points, Orestes Torres (202-C-87) and Eliezer Lima (201-F-75) assisted him with 12 points each in the paint. William Granda (190-F-85) was the best at the losing side, with 20 points, and youngster Enrique Ramos (201-C-89) was the second best scorer at 11, even not hitting 8 important free throws.
