FIBA Representative makes official visit to Dominica

Lubomir Kotleba, Adviser to the Secretary General of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), will make an official visit to Dominica from Wednesday January 25-Friday January 27. During his short but packed visit, Kotleba will meet with executive members of the Dominica Amateur Basketball Association, officials with the Ministry of Sports, representative of the Dominica Olympic Committee, along with coaches, referees and players. Following discussions, Kotleba hopes to present a detailed assessment to FIBA, highlighting the positive aspects of basketball in Dominica and the areas in which improvement is needed. Through the FIBA National Federations Support and Development Project, FIBA will then develop a tailor-made assistance program for the island. This is in accordance with FIBA's mandate to 'help national basketball federations to grow and take basketball to a higher level in their respective countries'.
