An interesting game for Heroes (12-11) which hosted in Moca second-best Indios (16-7). Third ranked Heroes managed to get a 11-point victory 102-91. Heroes shot 30 for 41 from the free-throw line, while Indios only scored fourteen points from the stripe. Heroes looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Indios helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Myke Henry (198-1992, college: DePaul) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. point guard Jaison Valdez (188-1995) contributed with 9 points, 6 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American guard BJ Fitzgerald (198-2000, college: Virginia St.) replied with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for Indios. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Heroes maintains third position with 12-11 record having four points less than leader Marineros. Indios at the other side keep the second place with seven games lost. Heroes are looking forward to face league's leader Metros in Santiago in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Indios will play on the road against Titanes in San Cristobal and are hoping to win this game.

American guard Troy Cracknell (193-1999, college: Augusta) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and Sterling Manley chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Yeison Colome (190-1996) with 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Metros have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-5 record. Caneros lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with 12 games lost. Titanes did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 93-74 on Monday. Luis Montero notched 30 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort. Even 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists by Ramon Galloway did not help to save the game for Reales. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains sixth position with 10-12 record. Loser Reales keep the fourth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Caneros. Titanes will meet at home league's second-placed Indios in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Reales will play against Caneros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
