Pueblo Nuevo celebrate Santiago title - Apr 11, 2016

Pueblo Nuevo earned the Santiago League title. They beat GUG 102:85 on Sunday to complete the sweep of the championship series. Kelvin Pena (193-G-80, college: Southeastern CC) came up with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists to lead the winners. He was named the MVP. Pueblo Nuevo cleared off in the second frame. They went on a 24:11 run to open a 49:33 halftime lead. Pueblo Nuevo never looked back in the second half marching to the victory. Victor Liz (188-SG-86) produced 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists, while Alejandro Salas Flores (204-PF-81, college: E.Oklahoma St. JC) added 16 points for the winners. Alejandro Liriano (197-F-81) responded with 17 points for GUG. Joel Ramirez (190-G) chipped in 14 points in the loss.
