The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Martin Martinez (182-95) who scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Venezuelan Darwin Sanz (-90) chipped in 12 points. Santa Maria's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Josue Andrade (-97) who recorded 14 points and 5 rebounds and Yonaiber Perez (-5) added 16 points respectively. Santa Maria have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Triple E-Uda lost fifth consecutive game. Manabi made 32-of-41 charity shots (78.0 percent) during the game, while Guerreros only scored four points from the stripe. They outrebounded Guerreros 51-39 including a 39-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guerreros were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Mairon Cuero (190-89) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 5 rebounds. American Kelly Hinds (-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Manabi players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Manabi maintains second place with 6-3 record having just three points less than leader Santa Maria. Guerreros at the other side keep the third position with seven games lost.
