San Marcos fired past ExSAL ST to clinch Liga Superior title. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. San Marcos dominated on the defensive end, holding ExSAL ST to just 6 points in third quarter. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American center Olaniyi Akinkugbe (208, college: N.Carolina A&T) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds. Leonardo Gomez helped adding 19 points. The best for the losing side was Venezuelan-Colombian forward Michael Hinestroza Javes (208-90, college: UALR) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Eduardo Cabrera (-94) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds.
