Batanecas (5-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by fourth ranked Salvadorenas 2 (3-2) 96-57. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Batanecas. Salvadorenas 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Batanecas' 38. Salvadorenas 2 forced 27 Batanecas turnovers. The best player for the winners was Cuban Bexy Claro (193-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Naturalized American Emily Tevez (175-1993, college: NDN) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Salvadorenas 2 moved-up to third place.
