They outrebounded LMMR 2 51-29 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Batanecas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds. Cuban guard Maria Montero (176-1998) helped adding 11 points and 13 assists. At the losing side guard Vanessa Hernandez (157-1997) responded with 27 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Batanecas maintains second place with 6-2 record behind leader San Salvador. LMMR 2 at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Batanecas are looking forward to face Santa Tecla 2 (#5) on the road in the next round. It was a quality performance for Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Arlenys Romero accounted for 21 points and 7 assists. Guard Melany Sanchez (167-2004) came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds for Santa Tecla 2 in the defeat.
