Bexy Claro claims Salvadorean Liga Mayor Hoops Agents weekly honour

Cuban Bexy Claro (193-SF-2001) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Salvadorenas 2nd team and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Liga Mayor Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 22-year old had a double-double of 26 points and 18 rebounds, while her team outclassed LMMR 2 (#4, 3-5) with 28-point margin 88-60. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Salvadorenas 2 maintains the 3rd position in Salvadorean Liga Mayor. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Salvadorenas 2 will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. Claro just recently signed at Salvadorenas 2, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Claro has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 26.2ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 16.2rpg) and averages solid 1.7bpg,3.5spg and 56.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-C-1999) of second-ranked Batanecas BC. Contreras impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Batanecas lost that game 55-76 to the lower-ranked Santa Tecla 2 (#5, 2-5). Batanecas managed to keep the same second spot in the standings. Her team's 6-3 record is not bad at all. Contreras is one of the most experienced players at Batanecas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.4ppg (#1). She also registered 19.1 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Cuban Arlenys Romero (176-PG-1984) of top-ranked San Salvador. Romero showcased her all-around game by recording 12 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists (!!!) in the last round. She was a key player of San Salvador, leading her team to a 104-29 easy win against Santa Ana 2 (#6, 0-9). San Salvador have amazing season winning all 8 games without a single defeat. Romero turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Romero has a great season in El Salvador. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.3ppg (6th best) and assists with 8.3apg (best passer). She also has 4.7spg and a FGP of 59.6%.
