Batanecas forced 32 Ahuachapan turnovers and outrebounded them 58-37 including a 25-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds. Cuban guard Maria Montero (176-1998) contributed with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Batanecas' coach Joel Lozano felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The game in Santa Ana was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Batanecas (4-2) played at the court of 6th ranked LMMR 2 (2-5). Batanecas did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 76-57 on Sunday. Rachel Contreras notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 24 rebounds to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by Eugenia Fraguela did not help to save the game for LMMR 2. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Batanecas moved-up to third place, which they share with Santa Tecla 2. LMMR 2 lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost.
In the last two games of round 6 Santa Ana 2 was beaten by Santiagueno on the road 72-60. Metapan destroyed Santiagueno on its own court 79-51.
