San Salvador - Batanecas 85-66

San Salvador forced 23 Batanecas turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban Anisleidys Galindo (181-1989) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Cuban point guard Arlenys Romero (176-1984) contributed with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 20 rebounds and Cuban guard Maria Montero (176-1998) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Batanecas.

Metapan dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Salvadorenas 2's 42. Metapan forced 27 Salvadorenas 2 turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Salvadorenas 2's players. Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds for the winners and naturalized American Emily Tevez (175-1993, college: NDN) chipped in 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Tevez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Metapan players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Silvia Vega (176-2003) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Cuban forward Eilen Gilbert (183-1998) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds.
