The most exciting game of round 15 in the Liga Mayor took place in . This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best Batanecas (9-5) to fourth ranked Salvadorenas 2 (8-5) 66-64 on Friday evening. Salvadorenas 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Batanecas' 32. Salvadorenas 2 forced 21 Batanecas turnovers. Strangely Batanecas outrebounded Salvadorenas 2 49-34 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for center Silvia Vega (176-2003) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 19 rebounds. Costa Rican point guard Gabriela Alvarado (177-1997) helped adding 23 points. Salvadorenas 2's coach Ernesto Rodriguez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks. Salvadorenas 2 moved-up to third place, which they share with Santa Ana 2. Batanecas lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with five games lost. Salvadorenas 2 is looking forward to face PSN (#6) in the next round. Batanecas will have a break next round.

Dominican Yenifer Jimenez (163-1999) came up with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Ahuachapan in the defeat. Undefeated San Salvador have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Ahuachapan at the other side dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Santa Tecla 2. San Salvador will play against Santa Ana 2 (#4) in the next round. Ahuachapan will play against LMMR 2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Liga Mayor top team - San Salvador (13-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Ahuachapan (3-10) 99-65. San Salvador forced 30 Ahuachapan turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 36 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Ahuachapan's players. It was a quality performance for Cuban Anisleidys Martinez (181-1989) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists. Rather expected game in Santa Ana where 8th ranked Santa Tecla 2 (3-10) was defeated by fifth ranked LMMR 2 (5-8) 76-71. LMMR 2 outrebounded Santa Tecla 2 51-37 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. LMMR 2 players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Dominican swingman Yadira Polanco (178-1992) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Cuban center Enriqueta Neyra (186-1997) accounted for 7 points, 24 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Cuban guard Elianis Armenteros (175-2000) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists and point guard Paola Campos (165-2001) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Santa Tecla 2 in the defeat. LMMR 2 maintains fifth place with 5-8 record. Santa Tecla 2 at the other side stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. They share it with Ahuachapan.
