Cuban Shooting guard Anisleidys Martinez (181-SG-1989) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked San Salvador, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga Mayor Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 36-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 17 rebounds, while her team beat Salvadorenas (#3, 7-5) 83-78. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed San Salvador to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean Liga Mayor. San Salvador has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 11-1. Martinez turned to be San Salvador's top player in her first season with the team. Anisleidys Martinez has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.0ppg), assists (5th best: 4.8apg) and averages impressive 3.2spg and 58.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Cuban Dairis Tornell (176-PG-1992) of league's second-best Santa Ana. Tornell had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Of course she led Santa Ana to another comfortable win outscoring Capitalinas (#6, 0-13) 82-53. This victory allowed Santa Ana to move up to second position in the standings. Her team's 8-5 record is not bad at all. Tornell is a newcomer at Santa Ana, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.2ppg (#4). Her other stats are also decent: 7.8rpg and 3.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Fabiola Mendoza (161-G-2005) of Salvadorenas (#3). Mendoza showcased her all-around game by recording 23 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 8 assists in the last round. Despite Mendoza's great performance the Salvadorenas lost 78-83 to #1 ranked San Salvador. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Salvadorenas needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Mendoza has a very solid season. In 12 games in El Salvador she scored 9.3ppg.
