Cuban Shooting guard Anisleidys Martinez (181-SG-1989) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked San Salvador, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga Mayor Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 36-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed Ahuachapan (#5, 5-9) with 41-point margin 106-65. It allowed San Salvador to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean Liga Mayor. San Salvador have a solid 13-2 record. Martinez turned to be San Salvador's top player in her first season with the team. Anisleidys Martinez has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.5ppg), assists (4th best: 4.3apg) and averages impressive 1.1bpg,3.1spg,59.0% FGP and 48.8% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Monica Aristondo (163-SG-1992) of Ahuachapan BC. Aristondo had a very good evening with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course she led Ahuachapan to another comfortable win 69-52 over Capitalinas (#6, 0-15) being unquestionably team leader. Ahuachapan's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-9 record. Aristondo is a newcomer at Ahuachapan, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.3ppg (#4). She also registered 6.9 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Ahuachapan's star - Dominican Rep. guard Yenifer Jimenez (163-SG-1999). Jimenez got into 30-points club by scoring 40 points in the last round. She went also for nine rebounds . Despite Jimenez's great performance the Ahuachapan BC lost 65-106 to the higher-ranked San Salvador (#1, 13-2). But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The chances of Ahuachapan not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 9 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Jimenez could try to bring Ahuachapan's a little bit higher in the standings. Jimenez has individually a great season in El Salvador. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 28.3ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 10.6rpg (3rd best) and assists with 4.1apg (5th best).
