L.M.Mons. smashed Ahuachapan in Santa Ana 86-42. L.M.Mons. held Ahuachapan to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Ahuachapan 65-52 including 23 on the offensive glass. L.M.Mons. looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Ahuachapan's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when L.M.Mons. made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican swingman Yenifer Jimenez (163-1999) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists. Katherinne Rivas contributed with 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Heimy Lopez (167-2004) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds for Ahuachapan. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of San Salvador at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Salvadorenas 55-41. Center Silvia Vega (176-2003) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Angie Ayala chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Anisleidy Galindo responded with 9 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks.
An interesting game was also tough home loss of Capitalinas in a game versus undefeated Santa Ana 74-70. Vanessa Hernandez nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 12 steals for the winning side. Jaylin Cruz came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for Capitalinas in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
In the last game of round 1 winless Santa Tecla lost to undefeated Metapan on the road 51-70.
