Salvadorean Liga Mayor round 5 best performance: Monica Aristondo (by Hoops Agents)

Shooting guard Monica Aristondo (163-SG-1992) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked AD Isidro Metapan, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga Mayor Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (20 points, eight rebounds and six assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Capitalinas (#8, 0-5) with 41-point margin 68-27. It allowed Metapan to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean Liga Mayor. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Metapan already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Aristondo had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Metapan, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Third on the list of top players last round was forward Niky Orantes (167-F-2009) of league's second-best Salvadorenas. Orantes scored 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was a key player of Salvadorenas, leading her team to a 66-59 win against the lower-ranked Santa Ana (#6, 1-3). Salvadorenas started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Orantes turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Orantes has a very solid season.
