Galindo's double-double lands her Liga Mayor Player of the Week award

Anisleidy Galindo had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team San Salvador and receives a Hoops Agents Liga Mayor Player of the Week award for round 10.
She had a double-double of 27 points and 17 rebounds, while her team outclassed Santa Ana (#5, 4-6) with 38-point margin 103-65. It allowed San Salvador to take over top position in the Salvadorean league. San Salvador has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Galindo had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at San Salvador, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Galindo has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (7th best: 19.8ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 16.3rpg), assists (8th best: 3.9apg) and averages solid 1.4bpg,2.8spg and 52.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Maria Montero (176-G/F-1998) of Ahuachapan BC. She is Cuban swingman in her first season at Ahuachapan. In the last game Montero recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds. Of course she led Ahuachapan to another comfortable win 80-64 over the higher-ranked Metapan (#3, 6-4) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Ahuachapan to move up to 6th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Montero is one of the most experienced players at Ahuachapan and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Yenifer Jimenez (163-G/F-1999) of Liga Municipal Monsenor Romero (#7). Jimenez showcased her all-around game by recording 28 points, 18 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. She was a key player of L.M.Mons., leading her team to a 76-48 easy win against Capitalinas (#8, 0-10). The chances of L.M.Mons. not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Jimenez could try to bring L.M.Mons.'s a little bit higher in the standings. Jimenez has individually a great season in El Salvador. After 11 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.5ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 12.5rpg (6th best) and assists with 5.7apg (3rd best).
